Membership to APRASSA is not automatic and requires that applicant meet admission requirements and furthermore that the applicant be voted in by the current member body of APRASSA. This voting process takes place at the APRASSA Annual General Meeting which usually happens at the APRASSA Congress (typically occurring in mid-September of each year).
New member applications for the current year are open until the 31st of July each year.
Any applications received after 1 August will be regarded as applications for the following calendar year.
Plastic surgeons wishing to apply for membership to APRASSA need to do the following:
Once the completed application is received with all supporting documents, it will be presented to EXCO and subsequently to our members at the next AGM, where the voting process will occur.
You will be notified of the outcome as soon as the decision has been made.

The Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons of Southern Africa was formed in 1956. It currently has over 169 members from all around South Africa. All our members are fully qualified Plastic surgeons that have been approved for APRASSA membership and will endeavour to provide you with excellent care throughout your plastic surgery journey.
