Dr Manti Makakole

Dr Makakole trained as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal Durban. He was admitted as a Fellow of the College of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons in 2010 and has since been working as a consultant Plastic Surgeon at Greys Hospital in Pietermaritzburg. His main interests include Head and Neck Surgery, Breast Surgery and Lymphoedema management. He is the principal microsurgeon in Pietermaritzburg and an integral member of the Head and Neck team at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital.
Dr Makakole is currently involved in the training of registrars in plastic surgery and was recently an examiner in the final examinations of the Fellowship of the College of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons of South Africa. He has a keen interest in research and innovation, breaking new ground and leading the advancement of the field of Plastic Surgery in South Africa.
